Some of our staff members are hosting a professional development opportunity at the Bois d'Arc Lake Operations Center this summer. 

This is a Pre-Registration Form for the 2022 Dodd City ISD Summer History/STEAM CPE Conference for Educators to be held at the Bois D'Arc Lake Operations Center at 4989 FM 897, Dodd City, TX 75438 (near Lannius, TX) on Wed. and Thurs., June 22 & 23, 2022. This location is unique and provides great outdoor scenery!

We are starting this event in an effort to be more relevant and provide continuing education for local educators so they don't have to drive into the DFW Metroplex to complete summer professional development. This conference will be open to several local school districts in Region 10 and Region 8. The Bois D'Arc Lake Operations & Education Center has 3 indoor classrooms (2 with wet lab centers), an outdoor classroom with room to grow, a conference room, and a large lobby that can all be used.

We will be providing 12 hours of CPE credit, 6 hours each day for attendees. A BBQ lunch from Texas Smoke BBQ food truck and small trade show will be provided onsite each day.

This year's "STEAMY" Conference will include both Elementary and Secondary topics on:
A)Aquatic Science
B) Local Wildlife and Fisheries Ecology/ Competitive Texas High School Bass Fishing
C) North Texas's place in American History.
D) Making History Hands On.
E) Texas Paleontology, Geology, and Archaeology,
F) Blending STEAM and Literature in the classroom
H) Texas Farm Bureau FREE Education Programs
I) Intro to Coding & Robotics for STEAM teachers.
J) Texas AgriLife Extension Service- What they offer for Educators and their Students
K) A small trade show in the lobby for topical information from presenters and providers.

The final session topics and presenters will be announced by Mid- May.

Please complete the following questionnaire to Pre-Register by June 1st.

Early Bird Registration will be $50 per teacher for both days of the conference if postmarked by June 1st.

Late Registration up until Day-1 of the event will be $60 and paid onsite. We will cap the event at 125 educators.
