Athletics

Getting involved with athletics is a great way for students to stay in shape and have fun. Sports helps provide a sense of self-worth and encourages sportsmanship and working together as a team. Dodd City ISD has many great sports to offer our students, including volleyball, boys and girls basketball, golf, tennis, softball, and track.

Eligibility for participation in many of these activities is governed by state law and the rules of the University Interscholastic League (UIL)—a statewide association overseeing inter-district competition. For more details on athletic eligibility, please refer to the student handbook.

If you are interested in joining a sport or would like more information regarding a sport we offer, please contact the appropriate coach. He or she will be happy to talk with you.
